Good-bye

Well this year has been very different for all of us I think. The end is here (finally!) but with the end comes good-byes. I had fun writing my blog this year even if sometimes I had no idea what I could write about. Although this is the end of my school blog I met write a personal blog so if anyone did like what I wrote then look later on for another one. Other then that this is Em signing off for the last time...

Myspace vs. Facebook

I officially think that myspace is the ghetto of the Internet! I personally think that facebook is a much more grown up networking site. Either way I don't see any reason to post inappropriate things on either.

20 days and 3 games...

Good news and Bad news, Good news is that we only have 20 more days of school left tell graduation! I personally can't wait, but others still have mixed feelings. Bad news is that the varsity softball team only has 3 regular season games let and still haven't won one. The girls tried their hardest last night but when playing the best team in the divison you can only score so many runs. Thankfully we scored 5 runs last night unlike the last time we played SLC scoring no runs! The best of luck to the girls with their games next week and the rest of the teams. Try your hardest and have fun! That's all that matters...

P.S. Remember we only have classes for 20 more days!!!!

Softball 0-10!

Well with 10 games down already for the girls varsity softball team its been ruff, and still no wins! Although its understandable because the team lots 8 starting seniors and for the most part we have a very young team. Although we've had some good hits and some great plays it just hasn't been enough. With only 4 games left were hoping for some very strong plays!

What I meant...

I guess I was unclear on where I stood about "Sexting" I DON'T BELIEVE THAT SEXTING IS OK! I guess for a teenager im a little behind because I just learned what sexing is, but that does not mean I think it is justifiable FOR ANYONE NO MATTER YOUR AGE! I also think that any adult who agrees that this is ok must be smoking something good because this is crazy. BUT if the kid who gets caught with the porn on their phone is getting punished the whoever that picture is of also needs to be punished, because no one made them send that picture. And when I said a shocking amount of adults "sext" I did not mean they had pictures of teenagers I meant they had pictures of other adults. I think this could be another fad but I also think that it has been going on for a long time and everyone just looked the other way about it. We are in a new age of technology and I will admit that I love my cell phone and I hate when im without it. But we all created this society, and now it needs to be dealt with because it is out of hand. Whatever is chosen needs to be the same for everyone everywhere no excuses!

What is "Sexting"?

For those of you who do not know what "sexting" is, im going to try and help everyone become informed. "Sexting" is defined as sending nude or semi-nude pictures via text message, and believe it or not almost 20% of teenagers admit to being apart of this. This epidemic is sweeping our nation along with many other countries and most people don't even know what it is. So people are asking what the big deal is? If these teenage boys and girls choose to participate in such activites so be it. Its only going to the people YOU choose to send it to...right? WRONG after those pictures have been sent there is know telling where they may end up. And recently more and more court case are popping up because, kids are getting caught with nude or semi-nude pictures on their cell phones. Unfortunately because of the ages of most of the teenagers in the pictures, the kids mostly boys and getting charged with having child pornagraphy. Because it is more common for girls to send pictures of themselves to boys, the boys are taking most of the blame. If they are charged with such crimes, they are labeled sex offenders and mostly likely lose whatever future they could have had. Well now that you know what "sexting" is you may be asking why would anyone want to do such things? Its believed that some girls send the pictures to get or keep their boyfriends, but is it really worth your future? I believe that the most shocking part of this is that its not only teenagers doing it. Adults have also admitted to being apart of this epidemic known as "sexting".

43 days...

Well for those of you who don't know me personal i've been counting down the days to school left till graduation since 185 days! But now as im still counting I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. We only have 43 SCHOOL DAYS left till the big day, but with senior trip and a 4 day week here and there, plus prom and a bunch of other trips the next 2 months are gonna fly by with the blink of an eye. (Speaking of BLINK did you know they got back together!)But back to the topic, I can't wait for the big day and to get into the real world. I know a lot of the seniors are really starting to freak out about college and I know a lot, like myself, can't wait for college. But all in all we still have time whether or not you want it to go bye fast or slow we should all enjoy what time we have left!!!

So long

Its been a really long time since i've posted anything and to be honest I miss it. I never realized how nice it is to have a place to write down everything in my head. It seems like if I write down what Im feeling the answers can be a little more clear. But for the most part I still have the same question on my mind. Where am I going to go to college???? And what am I going to do where ever I choose to go???? Well I still don't have the answer to that question....but I think im going to go to Potsdam in the fall. The weridest part is if you asked me that question a couple of months ago Potsdam wasn't even among my choices. But as I sit here now I realized that it doesn't matter where I go or whom im with. As long as I have fun I will be happy and if im not I can always go somewhere else!!!!

Get out of my head...

Have you ever just had one of those days when you just can't get that song OUT OF YOUR HEAD!!! Well I have had those days alot, and lately I have had that song "Jumper" by Third Eye Blind stuck in my head. Its a really good song but I just can't get it out of my head! I've also notice that I've been hitting the 90's music really hard lately. Like all those songs that we heard as a kids but then you grow up and forget all about them. Well I've been pulling them out of the wood works and its been a great blast from the past! But now I can't stop listening to them...Anyone out there have some great blast from the past they want to share???

Major Problem...

How many times over the years do you think we are asked "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Well to be honest I was so sick of that question after about the second time! But I have always been one of those people who NEVER knew what they wanted to be. So now the older I get the more I here that question, and the more I hate it. I have never understood how one day you can just say I want to look in peoples mouths for the rest of my life or I want to build bridges and you know that's what your going to do for the rest of your life. The power to those people! But the average college student changes their major 5 times. I really have no idea what I want to do with the rest of my life! How am I suppose to pick a major and do that forever? I can't even live with the same people forever! I think that everyone should go into college with a open mind. Try new things and meet as many new people as you can. Because you never know what you will like if you don't try it!

College...

So its that time of year when our seniors are getting acceptence and rejection letters about their hopes and dreams. So if your luckey enough to get into the college you were really hoping for then GREAT for you but what should you do if you didn't get into your first choice? What if you did get into your first choice but your first choice is a $40,000 a year school. Is it really worth it to pay that much when you can go to a state school and only pay $6,000 a year? Well I did get accepted to the University of New England but it is a $40,000 a year school...so what do I do now? I only applied to 2 schools, one private school and one state school. So now what do I do? I visited UNE and fell in love with the whole place, but my parents hate the price tag. I swear this whole college process is starting to remind me of that TV show lost...everytime it goes to a commerical I have 42 new question and I didn't get any answers!!!

Angry People

So have you ever had one of those days when all you want to do is put your ipod in and forget everything around you? Well, I have had a lot of those kinda days lately. I think that this feeling of dread has a lot to do with the wheather outside. So I have some idea's for getting out of this horriable dread...First take out the ipod because blocking out the world isn't helping. Second get together with some friends and go out and do SOMETHING...ANYTHING just getting out and about is better then nothing. Hanging out with your friends well brighten your day. I mean think about it if we all walked around all day with ipod's in our ear's then no one would talk to eachother, and if no one talked to eachother then we would all be very angry people because we wouldn't have any friends. And if everyone was angry, no one would get alone, and if no one gets along im sure you know what would happen next...so in order to save the world from sheer destruction I think that everyone should talk to someone new. Making new friends is always good and if we make new friends we can all be happy people. And happy people leads to a happy world!!!

New Year, New You!

So its a new year and everyone likes to make a resolution (or says they will). So the most common goal that everyone sets for themselves is to go on a diet or workout everyday. Well im here to tell you that saying and doing are very different! Like we all no during the holidays we all pack on a couple of pounds unless of course you have mono but thats a different story. So here is my advise instead of completely throwing your new years resolutions out the door before you even start them make realistic goals for yourself. We all no your not going to go to the gym everyday so why not take the stairs instead of the elevator? Or take the long way around the office or park farther away because walking wont kill you! Its all about the little steps, so take it on step at a time....or you could end up like this dog!!!
